Travel updates for COVID-19

Since December 2019, there has been emerging public health concern regarding an outbreak of respiratory illness, now called COVID-19, caused by a new strain of coronavirus that was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Stanford University has been actively monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and is updating the community as additional information becomes known. Stanford Environmental Heath & Safety has created a webpage, which continues to serve as the best ongoing source of information regarding COVID-19.

France-Stanford Center Undergraduate Fellowship/Internship Program in France

The France-Stanford Center has been actively monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation in Europe and especially in France. We have also been closely following the University's latest guidance to our student community.

Our greatest priority, of course, is the safety of the students. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the France-Stanford Center Undergraduate Internship/Fellowship Program for summer 2020.

We know that this decision will come as a major disappointment to students, especially those who have already been selected. We want to thank each one of you for considering the center's opportunities. We would also like to thank our host institutions in France for their commitment to welcoming Stanford students and for their time in reviewing applications. We certainly hope and plan to offer the program during summer 2021.
