Christophe Laux

Professor Christophe Laux graduated in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (MS 1988) and Stanford University (Ph.D. 1993). After his Ph.D., he began his career in research at Stanford until 2003. He then joined the faculty of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of Ecole Centrale Paris, now CentraleSupélec. He teaches Heat Transfer, Plasma Physics and Engineering, and Professional Development & Leadership workshops. His research focuses on nonequilibrium plasmas and optical diagnostics with applications to energy, aerospace and the environment. From 2008 to 2016, he co-chaired with Dr. Allan Goodman the jury of the Partner University Fund. He has been part of the France-Stanford Center since 2014.
