My research visit at the Gentles lab aims to improve cancer care using advanced deep learning models. By analyzing complex tumor structures, we can identify patterns that traditional methods might miss. This allows us to develop predictive models to determine how individual cancer cells will respond to various treatments. By tailoring therapies to each patient's unique needs, we aim to make treatments more effective and reduce their side effects. These improvements could lead to better patient outcomes, providing new hope for those affected by cancer, as well as advancing the precision and personalization of cancer treatment.
