How to apply
Undergraduate Fellowship (June 1, 2017 - August 31, 2018).
Application deadline: January 18, 2017.
1 - Download the 2017-2018 Application Form (Word).
2 - Download the 2017-2018 Financial Annex (Excel).
3 - Once you have filled out the Application Form and the Financial Annex, UPLOAD the application with all the necessary documents.
4 - You will receive an automatic confirmation that your application has been successfully uploaded.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE INCLUDED IN ORDER AND SENT IN ONE SINGLE DOCUMENT (PDF OR WORD FORMAT):
1 - Completed application forms (including itemized budget).
2 - Letter to the France-Stanford Center Director describing the applicant’s research interests and plans during the proposed visit to a French institution (including inter alia, universities, NGOs and corporations). The letter should identify the particular individuals with whom the applicant will be working, including one who agrees to serve as the official “sponsor”. The letter should also indicate the proposed length of stay (between two to four months) and discuss ways in which the applicant’s research and educational objectives will further the goals of the France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies.
3 - Recommendation letter from the applicant’s advisor, discussing the applicant and the merits of the proposed visit. Advisor should send letter directly by email to Isabelle Collignon, firstname.lastname@example.org.
4 - Letter from the individual serving as the official sponsor, explaining the nature of the applicant’s proposed research/work activities and plans fully to incorporate him/her into the host environment.
5 - Applicant’s CV.
6 - An unofficial Stanford transcript - go to Stanford Axess.
- Go to the Student Center tab from the Axess home page.
- Click on "My Academics."
- Click on “View my unofficial transcripts.”
- In the drop down menu marked as “Career” select “undergraduate.”
- Click the green button “View Report.”
- Save pdf file (click on print, then save as pdf).
